My Story:

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read about the ACHI WSWA Fundraising Campaign. My name is Dr. Juanita Fletcher, and I am the founder of this national charity dba ACHI Women Supporting Women Association, Inc. My story is like that of so many other women. At the age of 34 I returned to college in hopes of achieving financial security and long term economic independence. While a higher education is necessary in today’s economic climate, it does come with a great price. I personally experienced the significant debt accumulated as a result of earning a degree.

To off set some of this cost, ACHI Women Supporting Women Association, Inc currently provides college tuition and textbook scholarships for underprivileged women. Several scholarships are distributed annually. Our scholarships range from $100.00 – $1,000.00, depending upon the number of request and the amount of funds we are able to raise. 

Impact:

Statistics show that a higher number of women are attending college than ever before. However, these same studies fail to convey the struggle that many women continue to face in trying to finance and complete that education. Because women are already earning much less than their male counterparts, women are more likely to acquire student loan debt. This debt significantly impacts the benefits that degree.

What We Need:

Providing scholarships requires money, and as a not for profit organization, we survive on the donations that we receive. Our scholarships range from $100.00 – $1,000.00, and we seek to be an organization that can provide for any and all women who walk in our doors to request funding.

Your donations will help us provide textbook and tuition scholarships to underprivileged women, and give them a hand up as they pursue a secondary degree!
