Vashti Center Inc

Since its inception in 1903 as a mission of the United Women in Faith, Vashti Center has worked with children and youth with a variety of mental health and behavioral health challenges. Vashti provides a variety of services in Southwest Georgia from trauma-informed care, an after-school program, family counseling, and a residential program for youth who are in the care of the state, serving all 159 counties in Georgia. Vashti also provides community training for volunteers, teachers, foster parents, healthcare workers and law enforcement. 

We are devoted to helping children heal – building trust, creating an environment that allows for growth, and promoting resiliency.

We operate from a place of peace and compassion. Many of those in our care have come from trauma and upheaval. We are a port in the storm. Down to the butterfly in our logo, our mission is to help children experience rebirth and the joy of renewal.
