Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture is committed to bringing good food, good health and well-being to Atlanta’s urban community.
Feeding people right where they live is our mission.
Our guiding principles are to emulate nature in the production of food, to educate old and young to grow their own food, and to create a welcoming space where people can gather and find harmony with the earth.
These past few weeks, the news was filled with stories about the climate impact report. Record atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations and associated accumulated heat have propelled the planet into uncharted territory, with far-reaching repercussions for current and future generations and our food. This report finds the past seven years are on track to be the seven warmest on record, based on data for the first nine months of 2021.
While the leaders of our countries are still trying to figure out the best way to save our planet, here at Truly Living Well we are doing our part each and every day. Composting is an effective way to sequester carbon. This practice has the potential to offset the carbon footprint of one of the largest sources of greenhouse gases. Our Community Compost Lab is teaching people how to begin their own compost systems while gathering waste from our community.
Each week tons of natural wastes are processed and turned into soil. The healthy soil we create is used on our farm to grow healthy food for our community and distributed to other growers.
How can you help Truly Living Well? You can donate here today to help us continue the much needed work to grow food and save our planet. Also, please bring your leaves to our Community Compost Lab at our Collegetown Farm every Friday and Saturday through January 2022.
