Trees Atlanta's Giving Tuesday fundraising goal is $60,000 to start a tree seedling nursery on the Atlanta Beltline!

There is a growing gap in the tree industry. Climate volatility, long-lingering effects of COVID-related supply chain disruption, economic pressures, and market demands have resulted in a tree nursery industry with fewer suppliers and a shrinking inventory. 

This has resulted in less diversity and fewer tree species available for purchase that are native and best for challenging urban conditions.

Our seedling nursery is a critical step in strengthening Atlanta's urban canopy for future generations, and we need your support to make it a reality. 🌳 Trees Atlanta is a nonprofit community group that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving, and educating. 🌲

Trees Atlanta's work relies on community-lead stewardship of our urban forest by teaching, leading, and inspiring volunteers. 

Each year, thousands of individuals, groups, and businesses volunteer with Trees Atlanta in neighborhoods across metro Atlanta. The outcome of our work is better quality of life, health, and well-being for people in all communities who all deserve access to the benefit of trees.

Since our founding in 1985, Trees Atlanta has:

• Planted over 170,000 trees to date
• Restored hundreds of acres of forested areas in the city
• Lead over 7,000 volunteers annually 
• Partnered with over 60 metro Atlanta schools to bring environmental education into the classroom 
• Hired and trained hundreds of teens through our summer Youth Tree Team, a paid job training program
• Hosted online and in person workshops, classes, and Speaker Series to increase awareness and understanding of the benefits of trees, build skills for planting and caring for trees, and provide a hands-on way to put their knowledge into action 
• Educate tens of thousands of youth and adults in classrooms, summer camp, and at volunteer projects in neighborhoods throughout metro Atlanta
• So much more!

The success of our programs depend on close collaboration with volunteers, community groups, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and municipal partners throughout metro Atlanta. It also is dependent upon funding from organizations and individuals like you.
