Did you know that when adults with special needs turn 22 years old, school services end? The opportunity for learning, forming friendships, and being a part of a supportive network is no longer a norm in their life. All that has been familiar and normal in one’s life is now void, but this is when The Next Stop steps in.

The Next Stop Foundation has been serving adults with special needs since 2007. We are deeply passionate about offering these individuals the opportunity to maintain meaningful peer connections, avoid a sedentary lifestyle, and continue their personal growth as they journey through adulthood.

Like all adults, adults with special needs deserve the opportunity to thrive. We are confident that The Next Stop provides them with that opportunity.

Meeting three afternoons a week from 1:00–5:00 pm in Suwanee, Georgia, The Next Stop welcomes up to 33 members each day. Often described as a social enrichment program, The Next Stop provides a supportive and stimulating environment that strengthens both cognitive and social skills, with the overarching goal of reducing the risk of regression.

The camaraderie among our members is inspiring. Whether they’re preparing a recipe together in small cooking groups, sharing a meal, teaming up for a game, or tackling a new challenge, their support for one another shines through. These moments—filled with laughter, encouragement, and connection—remind us just how powerful a sense of belonging can be.  

There are seasons when families experience unexpected financial hardship. During those times, we don't want a member to miss the community, routine, and belonging they find at The Next Stop simply because they cannot pay the attendance fee.

**To better assist our members and their families, The Next Stop established a Sponsorship Fund many years ago. This fund is designed to offer discreet support to families during challenging times by sponsoring their participation for a duration of time. 

Thank you for considering a donation to The Next Stop this year. All GA Gives donations this year will be applied to the Sponsorship Fund.  The cost for members to attend is $20 a day.
