With a mission to provide help and hope to neighbors in need, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia (SVdP Georgia) has been serving individuals, families and communities across Georgia since 1903, stabilizing those in crisis and creating paths to self-sufficiency.
ON THE FRONT LINES OF COVID-19 RESPONSE
Since early 2020, St. Vincent de Paul Georgia has been at the forefront of the nonprofit community’s response to COVID-19, with our staff and state-wide network of volunteer caseworkers allowing us to respond immediately and adeptly to the pandemic and its economic repercussions. While requests for help have increased nearly 40% during this time, so too did the financial assistance and safety net services that we were able to provide. As those in our communities faced furloughs, extended unpaid sick leave, unemployment and other financial setbacks, SVdP Georgia provided over $12.9 million of direct financial aid for rent, utilities, mortgage, medical bills and more to 30,706 households. We also provided more than $4.6 million of in-kind assistance such as food and other necessities, helping over 172,000 neighbors in need across the state.
Your donation will provide hope for our community and your neighbor in need!
