Springer Opera House

The Springer is a professional regional theatre company and the State Theatre of Georgia, one of our state’s official symbols and a registered National Historic Landmark.

First opened in 1871, we stage 10-15 productions each year in three different series and host 112,000 annual admissions — Georgia’s 2nd-largest annual audience for live theatre — in a painstakingly preserved facility unlike any other.

In addition to our live performances, we are home to the Springer Theatre Academy, an education program focused on equipping young people with skills to be successful members of our community. Teaching Life Skills Through Stage Skills is a cornerstone of our programming.
