Soccer in the Streets, Inc.

Mission:  Soccer in the Streets improves the lives of kids by providing access to the benefits of sport through high quality community-based soccer programs.

We bring our mission to life through:

Who we serve:

• Youth in underserved communities with limited access to safe places for physical activity and barriers to participation in youth sports

What we do:

• Provide access to free soccer programs delivered by trained coaches at safe, accessible places to play in their communities

How we do it:

• We build trust with key community leaders who support us with land usage and other community resources
• We select, train, and support coaches that establish positive relationships with kids and help them build resilience while having fun playing soccer
• We integrate evidence-based curriculum on building resilience, character development, and social and emotional learning capacities into our programs
• We reclaim unused land at MARTA stations as StationSoccer fields
• We deliver soccer programs in community schools
• We source community partners - parents, nonprofits, civic leaders and others to provide ongoing complementary services to build community around our play spaces
