Roots For Troops

Focusing on the unmet needs of people living with cancer, we're broadening our services to veteran families who are struggling with mental wellness and food supply during Covid-19.

Feelings of fear, depression and feeling alone are a large part living through the pandemic. We have found that there are many ways to manage emotions and by offering an experience that understands and supports, our programs can make a paramount impact on mental health overall. 

In the past five years, we have provided wellbeing services and self-care packages to thousands of women, helping them with self-esteem and image related issues during and after cancer. Since reflecting on the perspectives of survivors and making developments on cancer survivorship, our goal is to include military veterans and their families in our mission to providing mental wellbeing at this crucial time. 

It's our sole mission at current, to build a self-sustaining veteran operated garden in our city of Savannah and to mobilize a bootstrapped effort to transport food to cancer patients and veteran families in need.
