Poverty Is Real Incorporated

Formed in 2011, Poverty Is Real was created by music lovers who wanted to make a difference. Recognizing that there are many fantastic nonprofits in the world that are underfunded and lack awareness about their work, we decided to use our love of music to help them better achieve their mission.

We throw music concerts called Amplify Concerts which unite communities. Local busisnesses sponsor our shows, volunteers get linked up with our beneficiaries, and a whole new audience is exposed to a charity they may never have heard of. More than anything else, we celebrate the dedicated employees and volunteers of locally-acting nonprofits fighting poverty in their hometowns.
