Over the Moon Diaper & Period Supply Bank

Our mission at Over the Moon Diaper Bank is simple: end diaper need and period poverty in coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry.

Your support this Giving Tuesday helps secure critical warehouse funding for 2027, allowing us to keep essential supplies moving into the hands of families who rely on them every day. 

Every family deserves access to basic hygiene necessities, yet many parents and caregivers face impossible choices between diapers, period products, groceries, rent, and other essential expenses. Over the Moon is working to change that.  As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide free diapers, wipes, period supplies, and essential care items to families in need across 27 counties throughout Coastal Georgia and South Carolina. Since our inception, we have distributed more than 2 million diapers, helping thousands of children, parents, and caregivers experience greater health, dignity, and stability.

Our mission is growing, and we have secured a place to grow with it!  We need your help to help cover costs for the year ahead.

Our warehouse space is a lifeline to families across Coastal Georgia & the Low Country, as it allows us to:

• Receive and organize large-scale donations
• Store essential supplies safely and efficiently
• Prepare distributions for families and community partners
• Expand our ability to serve more neighbors in need 
• Keep children supplied with the diapers they need to stay healthy and comfortable
• Help students and adults access period products with dignity
• Support families during challenging seasons
  
  

Why is providing access to diapers so important?

• Over 40% of families struggle to afford diapers for their children
• In our region, 65% of parents are in the workforce and are reliant on daycare.  Most daycares require parents to provide diapers daily.
• Most babies require up to 12 diapers per day, which costs over $100 per month, per child.
• 25% of parents miss 5+ days of work each month due to lack of diapers for daycare.
• Diapers are not covered by WIC, Food Stamps, or any government safety-net organizations.
