Odyssey Family Counseling Center provides access to comprehensive behavioral health care for metro Atlanta families and individuals who are low-income and under-served. We are well known for our expertise in addressing depression, anxiety, alcohol and drug abuse, relationship issues, and a broad range of trauma-related mental health challenges resulting from poverty, violence and abuse. Founded in 1973, Odyssey was one of the first agencies in Atlanta to offer counseling for children and to incorporate family and caregivers in therapy. We provide a mental health safety-need to those in need of services but who have no insurance or who are under-insured and cannot afford co-pays and high deductibles. In addition to services offered at our main facility in College Park, Odyssey counselors work on-site at 25 Title I schools in South Fulton County. We also partner with other area nonprofits to provide counseling for their clients in need. Services offered by Odyssey include Behavioral Health Assessments (BHAs), individual counseling (one-on-one with client and therapist), family counseling, couples counseling, group counseling (for six to ten clients), psychiatric services for clients who require medications, nursing assessments and nursing services primarily for clients who suffer from substance abuse and addiction. In response to COVID-19, Odyssey began telehealth services in an effort to continue our mission, and provide access to services in a safe and healthy manner.
