At TNP Foundation, our mission is to provide financial support to community organizations in need of implementing transformative evidence-based wellness practices through the work of The Namaste Project. We are deeply committed to offering access to high-quality wellness programs and evidence-based practices for individuals from all backgrounds. Inspired by the transformative potential of therapeutic mindfulness interventions, we strive to extend these life-changing experiences to students, staff, and community members.
The Namaste Project was conceived by an educator and school leader with years of experience working in Title I schools and volunteering with community organizations. She witnessed disparities firsthand, and in 2019, The Namaste Project was founded with the support of like-minded individuals passionate about ensuring that EVERYBODY has access to mental health support.
We recognize that this work is not a short-term endeavor; real change takes time. That’s why our primary focus is on supporting youth by equipping them with the tools they need to regulate their nervous systems and support their mental health, ultimately improving their quality of life and chances of success. While we offer yoga, our main goal is to provide groups and individuals with lifelong skills and tools.
Polyvagal somatic experiencing has been proven to directly impact both physical and mental health. While it is powerful when practiced in a group or with a therapist, it can also be self-directed, ensuring that the work we do continues long after a project concludes.
