The Musical Dramatic Arts Foundation

Our Mission

MDAF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the development and production impact of musical dramas with inspirational themes, such as hope, courage, resilience, justice, and the transformational power of love. 

We believe producing these works within an accessible, growth-oriented, community context inspires individuals to overcome antagonism in their own lives, and empowers them to impact, enrich, and revitalize their communities.

Our Approach

We are exploring production pathways for works outside of the existing capital-driven or classical theatre models by...

1. Developing and co-producing inspirational and artistically excellent new works.
2. Establishing production and philanthropy partnerships and building an ecosystem of community, arts, and educational leaders.
3. Adapting productions to create innovating access for all community members.
4. Creating growth-oriented community outreach, educational, and leadership initiatives.

Our Productions

This year, we have four new works in our production pipeline that reframe narratives of hope, healing, reconciliation and resilience. As we develop these productions, we are launching accompanying educational and community outreach initiatives in New York City, Charlotte, Atlanta, and beyond.
