The Museum of Aviation is one of the largest aviation museums in the United States and one of the most major U.S. Air Force heritage, exhibit and educational centers in the Southeast. There are over 85 historic U.S. Air Force aircraft, missiles and cockpits on showcase, including the world-record breaking SR-71 "Blackbird" spy plane. Located in Warner Robins, Georgia, the Museum sits on 51 acres adjacent to Robins Air Force Base and includes four large exhibit buildings with over 200,000 sq. ft. of exhibits, educational classroom space, a restoration hangar and more. The Museum of Aviation Foundation’s National STEM Academy provides informal education programs to schools, organizations, teachers, students, groups, individuals, and more.  The Academy integrates innovative, hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines through the Heritage, ACE (Ask. Challenge. Educate.), TinkerTech, Mission Quest, and the Georgia NASA Regional Educator Resource Center programs.  There are plenty of activities to do herep, such as testing out the flight simulator, riding on the virtual reality simulator, and visiting the gift shop.  The Museum is open daily, from 9am-5pm and admission is free.
