The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism

A nonprofit organization

The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism is a unique organization in Savannah, Georgia dedicated to serving children, teens, and adults with autism. We operate a year-round day school providing an innovative and evidence-based approach to education. Speech, occupational, physical, and music therapies are provided in-house in order to promote the overall well-being of the students we serve.

Advocacy is a BIG part of what we do: offering support and resources to families navigating the public school system; and works to build inclusive communities through autism outreach and education initiatives.

This #GivingTuesday, we are asking for your help to provide our students with speech, occupational and physical therapies.

Progress for children with autism can be gradual and may involve ongoing support throughout their lives. However, with early intervention and a multi-therapeutic approach, many children with autism can make significant gains and achieve a level of independence and functionality that might not have been possible without such support. A multi-therapeutic strategy can potentially alter the trajectory of each child's life. Instead of a life spent trying to catch up, these students will learn how to master the academic and personal challenges autism presents in each of their lives and deflate their "disorder" to manageable insignificance. The inclusion of speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy reflects a comprehensive approach to improving the overall quality of life for these students.
