The Team: The Minnesota Vikings are a professional American football team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Vikings joined the National Football League as an expansion team in 1960, and first took the field for the 1961 season. They currently participate in the North Division of the National Football Conference (NFC). They have been NFC champions a total three times; in 1973, 1974 and 1976. The Vikings lead a number of charitable efforts some of which include: Vikings Children’s Fund, Planet Purple as well as sponsoring local Youth football programs.

The Cause: The Minnesota Vikings are teaming up with 4 other Minnesota based professional sports teams to help fight against cancer with the American Cancer Society. In the weeks leading up to November 12th the team will be spreading awareness via their social media about the 24 hour giving event. Are you ready to take part in making fundraising history?
