Macon Film Festival Inc

Surrounded by a rich musical and Southern culture, the Macon Film Festival celebrates independent films while promoting filmmaking for entertainment, inspiration, education and economic development.

The festival screens independent films from around the world in historic theatres throughout the city’s downtown district and also provides our filmmakers with a national audience through a virtual Macon Film Festival channel on Film Festival Flix. The festival features daily film screenings, celebrity guests, special screenings and workshops throughout the traditional festival weekend. In addition, we host the Fulldome Festival in partnership with the Museum of Arts & Sciences. 

The Macon Film Festival audience is as diverse as our community. With support from regional and national foundations our festival is focused on providing Central Georgia residents, students from colleges/universities located throughout the region and visitors from around the Southeast the opportunity to experience the best of independent film in the heart of Georgia.
