About Us:

For 23 years, Los Niños Primero has been dedicated to providing comprehensive educational support and nurturing the academic, social, and emotional well-being of Latino children and their families. Our journey as key innovators in the education space in Atlanta is just getting started as we creatively cultivate a culturally learning environment that empowers teachers and students alike through Play & Inquiry Based Learning, fostering a new generation of independent thinkers ready to engage the world around them. 

We are proud of our enduring and storied legacy of success and remain committed to empowering the next generation of Latino leaders in our community.

This GivingTuesday, all funds raised will go towards our programmatic expansion to South Fulton and Clayton County, allowing us to reach more children, youth, and parents in their enrichment journeys.

Mission:

Our mission is to empower Latino students and their families from early childhood to college through holistic academic, leadership, and community programs.

Impact: 

500 children attend our free academic summer program and Saturday school sessions each year.

6,100 students from Atlanta, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Forest Park, East Point and Hapeville have completed our program since we began in June 2001.

Over 170 Youth Volunteers from Atlanta-area schools work in the classrooms with our Georgia-certified teachers throughout the year. In 2023, they generously gave the Atlanta community over 12,000 hours of service. The youth are students who represent 54 unique educational institutions.

15% of our Youth Volunteers were once enrolled in our preschool program. Their participation is a unique attribute that has proven to be essential to the well-being of our early education students. Their presence in the classroom allows our pre-school and elementary age students to connect with powerfully inspiring role models. They demonstrate their capacity for kindness daily while actively promoting leadership, intellectual curiosity, and pride in their culture. 

200 Adult Volunteers work year-round to assist with fundraising and to support our Los Niños Primero families.

90% of our families participate in parent education and civic engagement programs.
