Mission Statement

LightHouse WC’s mission is to empower individuals by promoting education, mentorship, and training for those who are struggling with addiction, through a Christ-centered residential program that fosters regeneration of the mind, body, and Spirit.

Description:

LightHouse World Changers (LHWC) is a Christ-centered, residential discipleship and recovery program for women and children that focuses on stabilization, abstinence, resolving relational wounds of the past, repairing broken belief systems, and restoring relational health through lasting intimacy with God, self, and others.

This is a 12-month minimum program.

ABOUT US

As women come into the program they are welcomed with care and acceptance. We never want anyone to walk through the doors of LightHouse feeling judged in any way. Once the intake is complete they will have time to get oriented to the program's schedule and structure. For some this in itself is a huge change. Once they become acclimated to their new surroundings the next step is to gently orient them to the concept of change through dealing with past hurts that often leave people with false beliefs and unrealistic expectations of themselves and others. As they begin the journey of understanding the concepts of inner healing and when they are ready, we begin applying these concepts in their lives.

As women begin to heal their outlook on life begins to change. For example, a mother who has struggled with life-controlling issues may have had to surrender her child(ren) or worse, has had them removed from her and placed into child protective services, LightHouse will help, as best we can, to reconcile them with their children. Whether that is working with children and families services, the court systems, other family members; etc. Our focus is to bring the mother and the child(ren) back together. LightHouse believes that as the mother begins her healing journey at some point in that journey the child(ren) will need to begin theirs. Reuniting them and in most cases living with the mother, while the mother is in the program to begin the healing process together significantly increases a successful outcome for both mother and child(ren). In addition to reconciling mothers with their children, LightHouse focuses on the family too. Offering family groups to the immediate families works in that it helps with the healing process for those who have been hurt by their loved one’s brokenness and addictions. Addictions take on many different forms. Regardless of the form, everyone is affected, therefore they too will need a safe place to begin their journey of healing if so desired. This is most effective because where the family had experienced destruction, with Christ Jesus, the family can begin moving toward healing and reconciliation.
