Lifeworkz Together, Inc. (LWT) was founded in 2017 by Alex Ellis as a social equity consortium 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that advances self-empowering programs and campaigns that inspire hope and drive equitable improvements in the livelihoods of Black Americans...'A Non-profit that moves us forward.'
We believe that every person has innate value and deserves an equal opportunity to aspire to their better selves and that more equitable opportunities should be afforded to Black Americans who have collectively remained furthest behind and that it will thus take a more proactive effort from every Black member of society to challenge themselves to 'Dare-To-Share.'
We devise life-changing socioeconomic programs and campaigns that improve social equity opportunities for Black Americans beyond quotas, tolerance, and indifference.
We galvanize Black voices and empower creative socioeconomic forces that promote Black unity, opportunity, and prosperity by challenging conventional thinking in regards to racial diversity programs and policies that consistently fail to benefit their targeted audience, racial tolerance initiatives that lack inclusion, and racial indifference attitudes that limit opportunities and cause negative outcomes for Black Americans as a whole.
To date, we have positively improved the socioeconomic conditions of more than 5,000 Black American children teens, and adults through many of our campaigns, initiatives, and programs and are currently on track to double our foot- print of improving the lives of Black Americans by 10,000 for 2023 with your help.
In January 2023, we plan to launch a new signature far-reaching program titled; Lifeworks Grade-Level Intervention Program.
This is a structured third grade reading program specifically targeted toward rising and current third grade metro Atlanta Black American students who are currently reading below their current grade level.
Why: National public school age students in 3rd grade who are reading at least one grade level below proficiency and who don't close this gap by the end of 4th grade are 70% more at risk of dropping out of school, going to prison, or ending up on welfare ; unfortunately these discouraging national statistics disproportionately affect Black Americans more than any other group in America and we aim to reduce the negative impact of this reality with your help.
