Kristine Pettoni Foundation

The Kristine Pettoni Foundation (aka The KPF) is an Atlanta-based, 100% volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of working mothers. We offer a space where women seeking education, career development, and financial assistance can come together and be matched with the resources they need to succeed and thrive in the current work environment.  Our foundation is named in honor of Atlanta businesswoman and super mom, Kristine Pettoni. Kristine was a role model to many and a fierce advocate for increasing the representation of women leaders. She attributed much of her own success to the connections with others in her industry and her desire to build lasting relationships in her community.

Through, Accelerate, our career readiness program, and Elevate, our financial grant program, unemployed and underemployed Atlanta area mothers receive the educational and financial support they need to reenter the workforce. Accelerate is a curriculum-based educational program that focuses on skills such as technology, financial literacy, job search training, and work/life balance. Our web-based, flexible, 3-month program partners mothers with multiple volunteer mentors/advisors holding a wide range of professional skills. Graduates of Accelerate leave prepared to secure a position in a viable career of their choice. Graduates also have the opportunity to apply for a financial grant directly from The KPF via The Elevate Program. Grants can serve a range of financial needs, including but not limited to childcare, continuing education, transportation costs, and housing needs. Our goal is to remove as many barriers as possible to assist hardworking mothers through their journey to long-term career success. Through the Elevate Program, The KPF is committed to giving a minimum of $10,000 a year to deserving Atlanta area moms.

This is our second year in operation and our second time participating in GaGives. Last year, we received so many generous GaGives/Giving Tuesday donations that we were able to launch The KPF, develop Accelerate, and open the program to the public! For GaGives 2023, our goal is to raise at least $25,000 to develop and fund our financial grant program, Elevate. 100% of the donations we receive from our GaGives campaign this year will go directly to The Elevate Program.
