Konnect Transit

Konnect Transit is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to "Keep Families Together, One Ride at a Time." By offering complimentary transportation, the organization ensures that families can visit their children in Youth Development Centers (YDCs) across Metro Atlanta, Augusta, Eastman, and Macon. Recognizing the emotional and financial strain juvenile incarceration places on families, Konnect Transit seeks to strengthen these critical family bonds, understanding that regular family visits can significantly impact a young person's rehabilitation and emotional well-being and reduce the likelihood of them becoming repeat offenders.

Konnect Transit will offer this service through a volunteer ride-share program. Volunteer drivers will provide affordable transportation to families through our custom-designed app, ensuring that families can continue to offer their emotional support and stay connected. Konnect Connect will collaborate with the Department of Juvenile Justice and other community service organizations to ensure safety protocols are adhered to. This will enable youths and their families to feel loved and supported during a challenging time, potentially improving their chances of successful reintegration into society.
