Konnect Transit

Konnect Transit is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to dismantle transportation barriers for Georgians affected by the justice system, fostering rehabilitation, reducing recidivism, and keeping families together, one ride at a time.

We provide accessible, compassionate, and reliable transit solutions for justice-impacted individuals and families. Through our complimentary transportation services, we ensure that families can visit their children in Youth Development Centers (YDCs) across Metro Atlanta, Augusta, Eastman, and Macon. These visits help maintain vital emotional bonds and provide critical support that aids in rehabilitation and reduces the risk of reoffending.

Our services extend beyond visitation. We offer free transportation for essential reentry needs, including appointments, job interviews, and community support programs, helping individuals reintegrate with dignity and opportunity.

To deliver this impact at scale, we are launching a volunteer ride-share program supported by a custom-designed app. This platform matches trained, vetted volunteer drivers with families and individuals who need safe, affordable transport. In collaboration with the Department of Juvenile Justice and trusted community partners, we ensure all safety protocols are followed, so riders feel respected and supported throughout their journey.
