Keep Elbert County Beautiful Inc

Keep Elbert County Beautiful, Inc. is a small non-profit that focuses on improving the environment for the citizens of Elbert County Georgia. We accomplish this by concentrating our projects and events to 4 areas-Recycling, Beautification, Decreasing Litter, and Education. 

We hold 4 recycling events a year to encourage people to dispose of hard to recycle items properly. Two of those events also include document shredding. KECB maintains several public areas with plantings/landscaping. The most notable is the intersection of GA Hwys 17/72, on the western side of Elberton. Litter pickups are scheduled throughout the year and can be requested by residents. All of these are done by volunteers or organizations. Educationally, all classrooms are equipped with a bin to encourage the recycling habit and presentations or information on environmental topics are available to educators and their classes. We also fund a yearly $1000 scholarship to a local student.

All activities are funded by donations to KECB. Yearly and lifetime memberships are available at various levels.
