Jumpstarting Our Youth Foundation, Inc.

Mission/History

The Jumpstarting Our Youth (JOY) Foundation, Inc. was established as a 501c(3), non-profit organization on April 28, 2010.  The JOY Foundation is dedicated to empowering the Middle Georgia Community through cultural awareness and educational enrichment.  Signature programs include the Dream Job Apprenticeship Program, Fine Arts Scholarship, and the Man of the Year Award.  Organizing incorporators were Kimberly Dickerson, Mildred Green, Sonja Jenkins, Yvonne King, and Janet Tidwell.

Current Board Members are Kenitra Burnette, Rita Davey, Kimberly Dickerson (Treasurer), Shelley Holmes, Dorothy Jackson, Yvonne King (President), and Beverly Tennison
