Inspiredu

Inspiredu is an Atlanta, Georgia-based educational non-profit. Since 2007, we’ve been bringing families together for learning with technology as well as  providing opportunities to address adult digital literacy, support the STEM career pipeline and serve through a collaborative community approach year-round.  Inspiredu seeks to support education equity with its commitment to youth and their families, through training, device distribution, and technology career development.

Led by CEO Richard Hicks and staff, Inspiredu partners with schools, districts, non-profit organizations, and government entities to empower students and their families with the digital tools and training to create a successful learning environment at home. To date, we have connected with over 60 education partners, trained 26,000 individuals, and deployed nearly 16,000 home computers. Our people-centered approach to education technology results in stronger outcomes for students, teachers, and families – so everyone succeeds.

Our work focuses on providing digital tools and essential training to both students and caregivers in order to create a successful learning environment at home.  “Virtual Learning” during COVID-19 has forced the districts to evaluate and assess their current device infrastructure within their respective districts.  For the first time, districts with under resourced and underserved populations are currently realizing the need to evaluate how they can ensure equitable access for all students.  And as a result they’re reaching out to a resource with a proven track record.
