Helping Oppressed Mothers Endure, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Statistics show that 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 are being raised without a father.  H.O.M.E. steps in to lend a “hand up” to single mothers starting life anew after divorce, domestic abuse, incarceration, relocation and hardship.  On average we serve 6 to 8 families each month filling homes and hearts with HOPE.  We kindly ask you to please consider becoming a financial partner with H.O.M.E.  Every dollar you donate will not only give hope to single mothers who feel hopeless, but will also change lives through the gift of furniture… one truckload at a time!

Below are sentiments to illustrate how H.O.M.E. empowers and helps mothers endure:

“This was my daughter’s first room, first bed, first dresser—she finally had the room I always wanted to give her; the room I wish I had growing up.”  Reshonda E.  ~ Age 27

"I was working two jobs and going to college. Neither of my parents graduated high school so I wanted to make something of myself. The day before my 20th birthday I accidentally started a grease fire--it was my first apartment and I lost everything I had." Kayla ~ Age 20

"I didn't have an active relationship with God, and I found myself in a dark lonely place after my mom died and begin to self-medicate. H.O.M.E. brought tender, love and care to my house and made my situation complete on my journey to success." Tanisha ~ Age 25

"I grew up in the projects, I didn't see picket fences, only fights. I wanted a better life for my kids and while we were sleeping on pallets I would go into the bathroom at night, get on the floor and talk to God." Shatana ~ Age 31

"After moving here I got sick and went through depression--I lost my job and ended up in a shelter for four months. H.O.M.E. was a breath of fresh air and truly a blessing... I didn't have to worry about how long I would be on the floor." Earnestine ~ Age 39

“When H.O.M.E. came to my door it meant so much to get the help.  After they left, I looked around—and it was truly home!  My heart was full… and it still is.”   Laura P.  ~ Age 41
