Giving Tuesday is November 29, 2022!

Help HomeAid provide appliances for Gigi's House! This year, for Giving Tuesday, our fundraising goal is $7,000, which will provide appliances for Gigi's House.

HomeAid Atlanta recently completed a new ten-bedroom home at Gigi's House, which cares for girls ages 13-19 who are victims of sex trafficking, providing a safe home in a faith-based, loving environment, trauma-informed therapy, home school, mentoring, life skills, and more.  We would like to provide appliances to help Gigi's House staff care for the ten girls who find refuge there.

About HomeAid Atlanta: Founded in 2001, HomeAid Atlanta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

The Need:

  • Approximately 5,500 people experience homelessness in metro Atlanta on any given night
  • 88% are the "invisible homeless," sleeping in cars and motels
  • 11% of Georgia's homeless population are veterans
  • 50% of Georgia's homeless population are women
  • 40% of Georgia's homeless population are families

Since 2001, we have completed over 170 projects (and counting) for nonprofits that serve victims of domestic violence, teen mothers, veterans and more. We also distribute essential baby supplies and hygiene products to people affected by homelessness. The result is more beds and services for people in need in metro Atlanta.
