Historic Westside Gardens provides access to fresh and nutritious produce to over 327 residents of Atlanta´s Westside, an area devoid of access to retail grocery stores. Through the installation of home garden beds as well as community gardens, residents come together to build wellness education, health advocacy and economic empowerment. 

With the help of our Garden Coaches, families and individuals learn to cultivate organic vegetables in their home garden beds, which promotes health agency.  The community gardens establish a solid core of locals working in collaboration to solve the issue of food scarcity.

Historic Westside Gardens helps over 100 families to save thousands of dollars per year on produce, while also promoting physically activity and building community with fellow growers. By supporting HWG, you are helping to grant access to fresh produce, creating a special place for neighborhood social change and combat food insecurity On the Westside of Atlanta.
