Historic Macon’s mission is to revitalize communities by preserving architecture and sharing history.

Historic Macon Foundation is a national leader in preservation and a role model for revitalization efforts across the country. Our innovative program of renovation, the annual Fading Five list of endangered places, educational programing, and low interest loan programs allow Historic Macon to transform our community and demonstrate the powerful impact of saving places. 

We're proud of our accomplishments, none of which we could have achieved without the support of our members, our partners, our volunteers, and our donors. Here's just a sample from the past year:

• Finished the extensive rehabilitation of an historic duplex on Lamar Street 
• Sold a new infill home in Beall's Hill to first-time buyers
• Relaunched hands-on workshops at the Historic Macon Tool Library
• Held eight free Sidney's Salon book talks featuring Southern authors
• Lead tours of Rose Hill Cemetery for more than 100 guests
• Advocated for increased access to Georgia's historic tax credit
