The mission of Habersham Education & Research is to preserve the rich history of Habersham County and to make all content available anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.

Habersham Education & Research was formed as a 501(c)(3) organization to preserve the rich history of Habersham County. We believe that history dies when we stop talking about it, which is why each of our programs is designed to keep the history conversation going. 

100% of donations go to the projects

While many historical organizations use a brick-and-mortar museum model with limited display ability, costs for overhead and set operating hours, we opted for a 100% digital model so that history is available world-wide, 24 hours a day to anyone interested in Habersham County’s history. Programs include the Hey Habersham Podcast, Historic Figures project, Habersham County Veterans Virtual Wall of Honor, historic documentaries about Habersham County, and Digitize Habersham - a project to digitize all newspapers in Habersham County going all the way back to 1857.
