The Goethe-Zentrum enriches individuals through a community passionate about the exchange and discovery of the German culture and language, by provides opportunities to explore and experience Germany and German language, history, geography, dialects, daily life, arts and culture through performances, exhibitions, discussions, and through programs that develop awareness and understanding. 

The German partner in North-America's one and only Kultur Ensemble (Franco-German Cultural Institute), the Goethe-Zentrum collaborates with entities representing the French-speaking communities in Atlanta to coordinate exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, exchanges, artists residencies, and more that show the similarities and differences and, most importantly, the cross-cultural collaboration between the German and the French-speaking world.  

A community center for many European communities, the Goethe-Zentrum is open to partnering for cross-cultural programs within the ever more global city of Atlanta.

monthly film screenings of original German films with English subtitles at the Goethe-Zentrum 

 

Fussball Watch Parties 

family friendly gatherings to watch German, European and world-wide soccer matches at the Goethe-Zentrum 

 

Discover Germany, Switzerland, or Austria 

interactive immersion "workshops" for curious travelers 

 

German language for global business professionals

language education and conversational practice groups 

 

Multicultural art and cultural experiences (exhibitions, concerts, etc.) 

in collaboration with cultural organizations and artists from around the world and (often) with the City of Atlanta Office for Cultural Affairs, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, PushPush Arts, and more 


European Film Festival of Atlanta (EFFA)

in collaboration with a dozen and more consulates and arts organizations representing European countries in Atlanta and the Southeast. European films in their original languages (with English subtitles) in select theatres across Atlanta.  


COME TOGÄTHER - Week of the German-speaking Countries in Atlanta       

in collaboration with consulates and agencies representing Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg. Incl. film, literature, theater, music, comedy, food and beverage, etc. and a career fair
