Making A Real Difference Throughout Georgia

Georgia Pet Foundation was established in April 2016, as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, when Governor Deal signed legislation approving our new tag. In 2024, we introduced a new plate designed specifically for the Georgia Pet Foundation by Kyle Brooks, a renowned street and folk artist.  Our license plate is actually "Art for Your Car!"

2024, over 34,000 pets were euthanized due to the overpopulation epidemic and lack of space in overcrowded shelters in Georgia.  See below how to purchase our plate, how the money is dispersed and why this helps so many dogs and cats.

Don't Need A Plate... Donate!

If you don't need or want a new license plate... then please donate to help the dogs and cats of Georgia.  Donations go towards spay/neuter grants throughout Georgia to help organizations and individuals.  Being proactive saves lives.  It helps to stop the overpopulation epidemic happening in Georgia and ultimately opens up space in over crowded shelters, thus reducing euthanasia rates.  We can't do what we do without You!  Please consider making a donation to help the companion animals of Georgia.

Our New License Plate is "Art for Your Car"
As Well As A Life Saving Plate!

When you purchase a Georgia Pet Foundation specialty license plate, money goes to fund spay/neuter grants which are then awarded to organizations throughout Georgia to offer no-cost or low-cost spay/neuter programs throughout Georgia. These programs are made available to pets of low-income families as well as homeless cats and dogs waiting to be adopted.

Go to the Georgia DMV Specialty License Plate Section, then scroll down to the "G" section and find Georgia Pet Foundation.

Our Vision

In addition to the Georgia Pet Foundation license plate program, we also focus on public education initiatives to increase community awareness of the benefits of spaying and neutering Georgia's pets.

Through the sale of specialty license plates and private  the Georgia Pet Foundation (GPF) will fund eligible, statewide spay/-neuter programs in an effort to eliminate pet overpopulation and the euthanasia of healthy cats and dogs.
