The mission of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA) is to increase awareness and educate Georgia's women and their families as well as the healthcare community about risks, symptoms, and treatment of ovarian cancer leading to earlier detection.

Your support assist us in distributing additional GOCA Bag's of Hope to women recently diagnose with ovarian cancer.

The Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance (GOCA) Bag of Hope is one of the organization's flagship community outreach programs. Created and continually refined by ovarian cancer patients and healthcare professionals, the program ensures that the bag's contents are tailored to meet the unique needs of those facing an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

This thoughtful initiative provides newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients in Georgia with a Bag of Hope at no cost, as a symbol of support and solidarity. GOCA developed the program to address patients' expressed needs for reliable resources, emotional support, and encouragement. By offering comfort and hope, the Bag of Hope reassures recipients that they are not alone on their journey.

Each Bag of Hope includes practical and uplifting items designed to promote comfort and positivity, all featuring the GOCA logo:

  • Duffle Bag
  • Fleece Blanket
  • Headcover
  • Booties
  • Reusable Grocery Bag
  • Water Bottle
  • Ball Cap
  • Writing Journal and Pen
  • Wrist Band
  • Lapel Pins

Here’s what some recipients have shared about their experience with the Bag of Hope:

“What an incredible and delightful surprise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“Thank you from a survivor! Comfort during an amazingly frightening time!”

“Thank you so very much for the wonderful bag of goodies you sent for my mother-in-law. EVERYTHING in it is absolutely beautiful and she LOVED it!”

“I gladly and sadly gave my friend a Bag of Hope. It helped her so much, she was so grateful. Thank you for helping me to help her.”

Since the inception of the Bag of Hope program in 2007 over 4,000 GOCA Bags of Hope have been distributed free of charge to recently diagnosed women of Georgia.
