The Georgia Aviary is a Georgia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong sanctuary for parrots in need. With hundreds of thousands of parrots living in homes across the United States and an overwhelming shortage of qualified rescues; countless birds face neglect, abandonment, or displacement when their caregivers can no longer meet their needs.

Building the future - one rescue at a time

Our long-term goal is to create a world-class avian sanctuary and research facility that will serve as a national model for parrot welfare, education, and conservation. This facility will provide homes to thousands of parrots who cannot be released to the wild and will include:

• Avian veterinary research partnerships

• Education and training programs for veterinarians and students

• Public learning experiences that promote empathy and conservation

However, every great project begins with a first step and for The Georgia Aviary, that step is establishing a dedicated parrot rescue and rehabilitation center where we can continue helping surrendered parrots right now while laying the foundation for our larger vision.
