Overview - Over the last 27 years, the Partnership has built a solid reputation as a trusted, nonpartisan voice capable of bringing diverse, key stakeholders to the table – policymakers, media, educators, business, philanthropic and community leaders, advocates, and parents. Discussions frequently give rise to opportunity for the Partnership to bring awareness among our state leaders that quality education is essential for economic prosperity in Georgia. The Partnership’s work impacts all 1.7 million public school students in our state and is undertaken to make Georgia a top performing state with a well-educated, skilled, and prepared workforce.  The Partnership’s array of strategically aligned, policy-based bodies of work include:

Top Ten Issues to Watch in Georgia report – award-winning, annual publication details and provides recommendations on the most pressing, relevant educational issues in our state. The report is widely disseminated to inform and influence business, legislative and other stakeholders to make sound decisions. Georgia’s current talent gaps and the need for clear pathways for post-secondary success is an issue often examined within the report.

EdQuest Georgia – a new major, highly respected policy framework for education based on the Partnership's extensive research into best practices of high preforming states and countries, and incorporates seven core policy areas that produce optimum outcomes for students.  One of these core areas examines the need for polices that support career pathways and career tech programs. The Partnership is leading the 32-member EdQuest Georgia Coalition in advocating for Georgia's adoption of the recommendations provided within the framework as a primary means of strengthening the state’s efforts to develop a world class talent and leadership pipeline.

Economics of Education Briefings – based on the Partnership’s highly-regarded and recently updated and enhanced Economics of Education publication, engage communities in education reform/workforce development, raising awareness among local business and community leaders that quality education is essential for economic development.

Strategic Local Partnerships – deliberate, focused work in local/rural communities throughout Georgia that convenes and connects stakeholders to capture thoughtful input into solutions to the local communities’ challenging issues impacting student outcomes and a prepared workforce.

Critical Issues Forums – public convenings in which subject matter experts speak on timely issues to inform and influence leaders to make beneficial policy decisions, that draw key stakeholders, attract significant media coverage, and viewed by a large online audience.

Education Policy Fellowship Program – leadership development program provides in-depth exploration of education policy for representatives from public and private organizations who have the capacity to create and implement sound education policy.
