Compassionate legal services for immigrant survivors
Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN)âs mission is to protect and empower immigrant survivors of crime and persecution. Many survivors in Georgia face the immigration legal system alone, and often without the guidance they need to understand the challenges ahead or the remedies available to them. Through our free immigration legal services, GAIN provides asylum-seekers and immigrant survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse with access to otherwise unobtainable legal representation. In 2022, we were able to accomplish the following:
Seeking access to justice is more than access to legal representation. For GAIN, it means working with a culturally-responsive and trauma-informed lens, safeguarding the dignity of our clients, and considering the hurdles they face as they work with us. Because our clients have complex needs outside of their immigration cases, we offer holistic support services. We leverage the work of our extensive network of community partners across Georgia â providing access to counseling and medical services, protective orders, emergency shelter, food and clothing, and other social and legal services.Â
Join us this year for Georgia Gives Day on Giving Tuesday, a global day of generosity. Gifts to GAIN power our work, better equipping us to meet the rising demand for our services. Our vision is safety, freedom, and opportunity for all. By giving to GAIN today, you can make a difference in the life of an immigrant survivor tomorrow.Â
