Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB)

GPB is a knowledge hub where Georgians of all ages can access a variety of free and trusted platforms that encourage lifelong learning and collaboration. Our goal is simple: to unite and uplift Georgia.

GPB's Mission

GPB works as a team to create diverse programming that enriches Georgians of all ages. 

PBS, NPR and More

GPB is a statewide public media organization presenting the best of PBS and NPR, along with original programs and local news to tell Georgia's stories.

Education

As Georgia's official digital educational content provider, GPB creates content for grades Pre-K - 12 aligned with Georgia curriculum standards. GPB provides in-person teacher trainings all over the state and provides online textbooks, video lessons and interactive learning tools for use by teachers, students and families. These materials were accessed more than 14 million times in 2024.

Public Safety

GPB towers covering 100% of the state broadcast key public safety alerts to keep Georgians safe when seconds matter. GPB partners directly with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) and the National Weather Service on disaster preparedness initiatives.

Community Connections

GPB collaborates with other state organizations, nonprofit partners, municipalities and educational institutions to unite Georgia communities through screenings, concerts, discussions and family events.
