#SupportFruitfulWork and Make Twice the Impact for Local Growers!

Food Well Alliance is a collaborative network of local leaders working together to build thriving community gardens and urban farms across metro Atlanta. Our mission is to provide resources and support to local growers to connect and build healthier communities. This year, every dollar you donate is DOUBLED thanks to matching gifts by the Food Well Alliance Board and Tito's  - up to $15,000.

When you #SupportFruitfulWork, your dollars are DOUBLED for local growers!

Donors play a critical role in sustaining more than 300 farms, gardens and orchards served by Food Well Alliance - like Bed Head Plant Nursery, the first black, female-owned medicinal herb farm in Southwest Atlanta. Owner Patty Lacrete (above) got help building her greenhouse through Food Well’s Labor Support Program. “I am so grateful that my dream was actually manifested into reality because I see the effect in real time that it has on folks and also the community that it builds,” said Patty.

Jolly Avenue Community Garden in Clarkston recently received Food Well's Garden Forward Grant. Garden Manager Rajesh Gupta is below/center with Clarkston High School students Prabin Subba on left and Ko Nai on right. The students are actively involved in the garden through their participation in Friends of Refugees' "Growing Leaders" program. Rajesh used the funds to place a new water line and hired two garden members to install it. “I was able to pay them for their labor and pay for the materials out of the grant. When we get grant money and I can pump it back into the people who live in the community, it’s a double win.” The new line will help ensure more than 70 families from 12 countries can keep their garden beds well hydrated.

What Your Dollars Can Do:

$25 delivers 40 fruit saplings to new orchards.

$50 purchases 120 vegetable plants for a farm or garden.

$100 provides 2 days of training for agriculture student interns.

$200 delivers 2 cubic yards of compost to a garden.

$500 completes a tractor workday at a local farm.

$1,500 funds improvement projects at 2 community gardens.

Your support helps us equip growers for success.

Farmer EliYahu Ben Asa (below) owns Atlanta Harvest, a thriving farm business in Ellenwood building a new brick and mortar farm stand with funds from Food Well's Farm Forward Grant. “It's hard to find organizations that believe in your business so much that they will stick with you through it,” said EliYahu speaking on the support Food Well has provided over the years. “Nothing that we have today could have been done without that support."

THANK YOU for supporting local growers. Together, we can realize our vision for an equitable, local food ecosystem in which everyone can participate and benefit.
