Because 1 in 12 people in Georgia cannot afford healthy food,

 and 1 in 10 of them are children.

We need your help. Our board has challenged us to raise $4,000 for Georgia Gives Day. Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar, increasing your impact. A gift of $100 buys groceries and fresh produce for a family for 4 months and a $300 gift buys groceries for all families at a single meeting. Let your love for others spread!

Meet Brigitte and daughter Kylie Victoria! All that food can be a bit overwhelming to a preschooler, but mom Brigitte is all smiles. She is originally from Columbia, where she met her husband, who is from the states. They married and moved back to the U.S. four years ago. He struggled to find adequate work in his field, and Brigitte took work as a housekeeper. 

When she came to her first Food Security Group meeting, Brigitte says that she “felt really good and grateful.” Now she could have fresh vegetables and protein and could cook from scratch like she did in Columbia! Brigitte reports that little Kylie Victoria loves broccoli.

Her husband is finding more and more work, so Brigitte does not expect to need her Food Security Group much longer. “I want to thank each food donor for the kind acts they do for the people in need. Thanks to their donations, we can have enough food for our children…”
