First Step Staffing is more than a staffing agency—we’re a mission-driven movement dedicated to transforming lives. We stand with individuals facing homelessness, veterans, and those returning from incarceration, connecting them to stable employment, steady income, and the wraparound support needed to thrive.

Our purpose is clear: to break down barriers to work and open pathways to dignity, opportunity, and self-sufficiency for people too often left out of the workforce. What began in Atlanta has grown into a national model—today, as the largest nonprofit staffing agency in the U.S., we operate across six states, providing meaningful employment to more than 1,900 people each week, including 600 right here at home.
