Greenhouse Grown is an established 501c3 non-profit organization located in West Georgia. Our mission is to reduce food insecurity by connecting communities and providing food to those who need it most. The Greenhouse Grown Project provides locally grown produce to promote healthy lives of those living in food deserts. It was founded in 2018 by Jamie Weeks and is now home to 2 greenhouses that grow nutrient dense produce year-round. This produce is given to local community members in need. Right now, our greenhouses can grow anywhere from 70,000 to over 90,000lbs of fresh produce every year. This supplies around 180,000 individuals with their daily fruit intake. Currently, we serve the Carroll County Soup Kitchen and Three Sisters Food Pantry which are both located in Carrollton, GA. We chose these communities because of the immediate need to reduce food insecurity in the area. An overwhelming number of individuals and families are impoverished or socially disadvantaged, so we strive to promote healthy lives through food donations. As our greenhouses grow more and more food each year, we continue expanding our community partners to other food banks, soup kitchens, and non-profit organizations.
