Fair Districts GA Foundation was established in 2024 as a 501(c)(3) charity to focus on our research, education, and community programs. Fair Districts GA continues in its role as advocates for change with our elected officials. 


It was a busy year for us at FDGA and the Foundation. Some of our 2025 accomplishments included:
  • Public Town Hall meetings to promote civic awareness and to build support for a legislative ban on redrawing district maps between censuses, as well as potential rigging of the 2026 midterms, and other redistricting updates.
  • The new and improved FDGA website was launched October 1 with a total facelift and reorganization to address public needs for accessing information. Now that we have launched the new format, we are starting to rewrite and expand content, so stay tuned.
  • Monthly newsletters with alerts on topics including real-time updates on several developments affecting redistricting and voting rights in general.
  • Advocating for legislation to stop gerrymandering. 
  • Holding our annual Lobby Day at the state capitol.

Our plans for 2026 include:

  • Launch our Local Redistricting Inventory Database and Toolkit, which assesses methods of redistricting at three different levels – State, Municipal, and School Board. Results of this project, including interactive maps of all districts, will be available on our website to facilitate public awareness and involvement by the public and local government officials.
  • Launch a state standards-based interactive educational module on redistricting and gerrymandering with video instructions and full curricula to complement 8th through 12th grade Civics or Social Studies classes.
  • Mount an all-out push to ban the practice of mid-decade redistricting in Georgia due to the current nationwide redistricting war in which several states are rigging Congressional maps in their favor. We need to reach citizens, politicians, and media outlets with this message. This will require a multi-prong educational and advocacy campaign which we will need to fund.
