The Encouragement Project

Our heart at The Encouragement Project is simply to encourage others — both in the giving and receiving sides of our efforts. 

To see people use the natural gifts and abilities that God has given them to bless others in their own special ways brings much joy.

And to see people helped in practical ways as a result of the generosity of those who give is so encouraging.

We have a number of ways you could get involved with this ministry, and always welcome help with any of our current projects!

CURRENT PROJECTS

bears and friends

Stuffed animals provide snuggly comfort for kids in difficult and sometimes traumatic situations. Bears and Friends accepts gently used/new “stuffies” that we clean, package cheerfully, and send out to be encouraging, huggable, portable, cuddly friends.

hugs and kisses

During the colder months each year, many struggle to find basic warmth. Through Hugs and Kisses, we collect beautiful, handmade items (knit, crochet) and share that warmth with those in need.  

sew it seams

There are many ways that the gift of sewing can be used to bless others. Sew it Seams gathers lovely quilts, adult bibs (for hospice and dementia patients), and other sewn items to share. 

simple gifts

Simple things can truly be great encouragement. Simple Gifts is specially designed to encourage those in our communities who serve in sacrificial ways with gifts of small treats in lovely, handmade, paper-crafted holders.

the book drop

So many kids in low income families have little access to books needed for growth, learning, and adventure. Helping to change that, The Book Drop collects/donates new and gently used children’s books to kids in need.
