Emmy's Academy

Emmy’s Academy (formerly Corrigan Care) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit early intervention childcare center serving children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old in the North Metro Atlanta area. We provide an inclusive, developmentally appropriate early learning environment for children of all abilities, including children with special needs—regardless of diagnosis or special circumstances.

Our classrooms are built around individualized care, low student-to-teacher ratios, and a nurturing, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace. We partner closely with families to provide consistent care during the critical early years, helping children build foundational skills while families feel supported, understood, and connected.

Emmy’s Academy was founded in 2010 in memory of Emily “Emmy” Corrigan. Emmy was born with Down Syndrome and complex medical needs, and her early years shaped our founder, Amy Corrigan, into a devoted parent advocate. Alongside doctors, therapists, and educators, Amy experienced firsthand how life-changing early intervention and compassionate care can be—not only for a child, but for an entire family. After Emmy passed away in December 2009 at just two and a half years old, Amy turned her love and advocacy into a mission: to create a place where children with special needs are welcomed fully, supported intentionally, and celebrated for who they are.

Today, that mission continues through every child we serve and every family we walk alongside.
