Elachee Nature Science Center

Since 1979, Elachee Nature Science Center has been promoting environmental understanding through education and conservation by getting children outside, by creating bridges between people and nature, and by caring for the Chicopee Woods so that it is accessible to our community now and in the future. 

Nestled in the 1,440-acre Chicopee Woods Nature Preserve, one of Georgia's largest protected green spaces located in south Hall County, Elachee is a place to discover, play and learn. Children, families and nature lovers come to Elachee each year to participate in PreK-12 school field trips and summer day camps, to experience interactive ecology and live animal exhibits, to hike the pristine 12.24-mile trail system, and to enjoy seasonal nature festivals and programming. The Elachee campus is also home to Elachee Nature Academy, an accredited and licensed school offering nature-based preschool and primary grade programs.
