About Earlier Detection, Inc.

Earlier Detection, Inc. (EDI) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that focus on early detection through breast health education in men and women from the age of 18 and beyond. The focal scripture for Earlier Detection is Romans 8:37. Romans 8:37 reads "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." This is the attitude that we take when we are educating about breast health and collaborating with breast cancer warriors. We know that we are more than conquerors, and together we can do our part in this breast cancer fight.

Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission: Earlier Detection’s mission is to provide breast health education and teach the importance of early detection to men and women under the age of 40.

Vision: We envision a time and space where young men and women under 40 are educated on breast health and are taught proper early detection methods.

EDI's Values:

Educating on breast health and the importance of early detection as it relates to treatment options and survival rates.

Demonstrating love and compassion to current breast cancer warriors and their families through support services.

Integrating the community and healthcare personnel in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention.

EDI's Pink Parachute Initiative 

EDI's Pink Parachute Initiative (PPI) is our way of providing support to the young breast cancer community. Each breast cancer journey is different, and through the Pink Parachute Initiative, EDI provides a safe way to remain afloat while navigating through the many shifts that occurs during breast cancer treatments.

 PPI provides support by providing resources for food, transportation and personal hygiene products for persons currently undergoing intravenous treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy) and/or radiation.

Cozy Comforts Campaign

EDI's Cozy Comfort Campaign provides blankets and socks to young breast cancer warriors who are currently in intravenous chemotherapy treatment. EDI's cozy comforts wraps warriors in love, comfort, and support; and reassures them that they are not alone in their fight.
