Our Mission
Drawchange is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children from lower socioeconomic situations through the use of art therapy-based programming. Our programs teach coping skills that foster Collaboration, Creation, Dream-building, Empowerment, Imagination, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Relief.

What We Do and Why
Children are naturally creative. However, many of the world’s children have no means or encouragement to envision a break in the cycle of poverty. We provide the means to improve school attendance, leading to gains in academic performance, by supplying the materials and art therapy-based instruction that inspire children worldwide to create real and lasting change for themselves, their families, and their communities.

The time they spend creating allows the therapeutic aspect of art to flow through them, encouraging them to explore their subconscious and conscious thoughts. By igniting their innate creative spark, the children learn a healthy way to process emotions so that they can turn them into something truly remarkable.

Art is a vehicle to reach out to students. Engaging them with art enriches their study with all other curriculum subjects. Our strategy is aimed to spark the energy of world peace by igniting the love of learning in the world’s children.  In using the research-based principles of integrating the arts and art therapy into children's general curriculum, we hope to increase self-esteem and critical thinking skills to help them better cope with life's stresses. Wherever there is a need, drawchange wants to be there providing self-empowering art classes to children experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty.

Our vision is to provide the tools necessary so each child has the ability to express themselves fully.
