Divas Who Win Freedom Center Inc

A nonprofit organization

DDIVAS Who Win Freedom Center Inc, was established in 2018 as a passion project created by it's founder, Chanda Santana. MMs. Santana felt compelled to come out of the hedges of darkness & stigma which polarized the issue of sex trafficking and substance use disorders.

  •  Ms. Santana openly shares her families very personal story of her teenage daughter being rescued by the FBI from a family of traffickers. Without community, Ms. Santana says this rescue would not have been possible. So with a newfound mission, its founder and board of directors launched Divas Who Win Freedom Center Inc, to serve as an oasis of safety and refuge for those suffering from a substance use disorder, entangled in the world of sexual exploitation or victims of sex trafficking.
    • 300-400 GIRLS are sold online EVERY Month in the state of Georgia
    • Sex Trafficking is a 99 BILLION dollar industry worldwide
  • Through advocacy, education and intervention, DWWFC stretches into community offering Sex Trafficking Prevention, Soft Skills Work Readiness Certification for those impacted by the prison system, and Self Care Workshops for "helpers" in community to revive and nurture themselves while doing such impactful work.
  • DWWFC has experienced tremendous growth in only 18 months. The Recovery Center began in a 300 square foot room until it could not handle the capacity of 35 women seeking connection. Today DWWFC is housed in a 3000 square foot building that is accessible through the cities transit system and comes equipped with everything needed to accommodate the peers that walk through the doors on a monthly basis.
  • The center creates a safe space that destroys stigma and restores dignity to women in this population through a multitude of services: 12 step fellowship, faith support, work readiness certification, Career Closet, Trauma Informed Art therapy and creation lounge, leisure activities, Massage & peer check ins, Court liaison peer support and coaching, phone outreach, community education, and more. DWWFC served 2769 unique clients within it's facility September 1, 2018-August 31st 2019.
  • What's next for the DIVAS? Glad you asked. We will launch our second location May 2020 that will serve as a sex trafficking & opioid awareness education center. Our space is in an 1800 square foot warehouse which will create space for our job training and work readiness program, allowing women recently rescued or leaving sex work by choice, the opportunity to gain accessible employment quickly while wrapping recovery services around them simultaneously through our main Recovery Center.
  • The Freedom Experience will be a sex trafficking simulation hub which is a community collaboration of thought leaders, trauma informed industry experts, public health representatives and survivor team leads. Stay tuned for the details of this initiative.

Our Giving Tuesday drive will assist us in meeting our $50,000 goal to launch the second location . We are rallying the troops as the year closes out and hoping that if your heart identifies with any portion of our mission, you might consider becoming a monthly donor . $28 a month will allow a woman to fully engage in our full service menu as well as transition to our work force through the Freedom Enterprise Initiative.

  • If $28 monthly is not your first choice, we value one time gifts as well, at any amount

We'd like to thank our community stakeholders and donors as well as volunteers. If our mission is new to you, we'd like to invite you to join the movement and help liberate women in an effort to assist them as they journey on to find their most powerful selves. Recovery is possible.
