The Communities and Police Partnership (TCAPP)

A nonprofit organization

The Communities And Police Partnership (TCAPP) is an organization dedicated to enhancing the relationship between communities and police in metro Atlanta. Through these efforts, we can better solve and prevent crime, increase confidence in public safety, and benefit both groups through better partnerships between communities and the law enforcement agencies that serve them.

We focus on holistic, hyper-local strategies that proactively work to address all of public safety throughout a community. Our programs are built on the successes of Community & Problem-Oriented Policing approaches from overseas, across the country, and right here in Georgia.

All donations will go toward programs like:

  • Listening sessions in communities to hear concerns about public safety and policing
  • Events for informal discussions between community members and local law enforcement officers
  • A Community & Problem-Oriented Policing (CPOP) course that gives both community members and officers the skills, tools, and knowledge to develop sustainable, proactive partnerships that address public safety issues and the causes of crime
  • Discussion groups with experts in improving community and law enforcement relationships

TCAPP is an independent, nonprofit organization. It is not a part of any law enforcement agency or government department.

TCAPP is also a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization by the standards of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Therefore, all donations are considered tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
